Java Warriors the Video Game

For anyone who might be interested, I've converted one of my old java applications into an applet (one of the purposes for this blog as I pointed out in my first post) and have uploaded it. It's based on an application I wrote (with some help from Andrea Freeman) as our final project in the computer science 311 class back at Occidental College. This version is much more fine-tuned and has some added features, although the enemies only have one attack now, so it's easier, but only if you play smart. I used the same set of graphics (those from the RPG Maker XP Run-time package) but swapped out the random encounters for on-map enemy sprites, which you can avoid or approach as you wish. I did this mostly to try out some programming techniques I haven't done before, including a password system. If you play through at least a couple levels you are given a password that you can use to continue the game later on.

Here's the link to the page containing the game: http://geocities.com/javawarriors/
Remember to let the applet load. I'll also put this link on the right-hand links list for future reference.

I would greatly appreciate any comments about the game and hope you'll all get a chance to play it.

Adios for now,
-Rafael Alejandro
